Inside the cartridge

One standard chip at the heart of every test.

At its centre sits BioMEMS' patent-pending biosensor chip. The chip never changes; the chemistry for each test is added to its wells.

The sensor disc

Twelve wells, one sample.

Each well can be prepared with the chemistry for a different test. Nothing on the outside changes from one test panel to the next.

Sealed back into one small cartridge.

Everything stays inside a single-use cartridge that goes straight into the analyzer.

The analyzer

Upright, into the top of the analyzer.

The handheld reader takes the cartridge through a single opening on top and runs its tests.

The cartridge-to-analyzer interface is shown as a concept visualization.

No laboratory. No lab skills.

Compact and portable, the analyzer is designed for use outside the laboratory by people without laboratory training.

The app

Results on a paired phone.

The analyzer sends the measurement to the app, where results can be viewed and shared with a doctor or a medical record.

Software that learns from each test cartridge to improve how results are read and reported is in the design stage.

BioMEMS platform is available to partners that make, market or offer diagnostics as a service or for joint development for commercialization.
